The Galenstock towers high above the Furka Pass and offers with its compact granite and snow ridge a truly magnificent alpine tour. A journey which has everything a mountaineer's heart desires and it can compete with many well-known 4000m peaks. On the first day we walk up to the small and very nice situated Sidelenhut. A rather short hike from the road and therefore enough time to enjoy some cake at the hut and do some warm up climbing and training close by the hut. On the second day we start with head torches over the Sidelen glacier, followed by beautiful climbing on the spur and a steep snowy ridge to the top, where you enjoy a breathtaking view of the Valais and Bernese Alps. The descent involves some exciting abseiling back to the glacier. One of the most rewarding high-altitude tours in the Uri Alps. Technical Level: - You can follow 4a in alpine boots - Experience with crampons and ice axe on snow / ice - Fitness for 8-9 hours of climbing and hiking Group Size: ​max 2 people/guide Language: English/German ​Price per person 890.- CHF / person with 2 person group (1530.- CHF / person with one person group) Included: - 2 Day Guiding with UIAGM mountainguide / aspirant guide - Overnight in Sidelenhutte with half board.
